Rugby union is one of the world's most popular sports, played in more than 100 countries.

In 2004, Perth's popular annual test matches will continue as part of the Tri Nations series between Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

With the existing sporting rivalry between Australia and South Africa, in addition to the large number of South Africans now living in Perth, there is bound to be a sell-out crowd watching these two teams clash.

In 2001 the Wallabies took on South Africa's Springboks in Perth, filling Subiaco Oval to capacity and attracting more than 1000 interstate and overseas spectators.
